Experiential Absorbent Learning (EAL)

Experiential Absorbent Learning is when you leave your comfort zone. You thrust yourself into new varied experiences, and then absorb the effects.

Experiential Absorbent Learning gives you the ability, and desire, to understand alternative points of view. This is essential for respectfully participating in the world around you. It provides you with the outlook necessary to apply your acquired knowledge in ways that are ethical and empathetic. Thus, it is the most important of the Absorbent Learning types.

The Uncomfort Zone—this section spotlights guest bloggers who have exited their comfort zones using the tenets described in Wander Purposefully.

There are two methods to exit your comfort zone explored within The Uncomfort Zone blog: (1) participating in different activities, and (2) experiencing different cultures. As described in Wander Purposefully, these are two ways to venture outside of your naturally narrow worldview.

Eric shares his own experiences in The Uncomfort Zone in Wander Purposefully, and now it’s your turn. Blog posts within this section are exclusively from guest bloggers.
